I Heart Faces "Texture" Photo Challenge

My entry for the photo challenge this week comes from a picture I took of my cousin Brynn last summer. I knew beforehand that I wanted to get a picture of her in a flower pot so, the night before the shoot I was spray painting the pot and making that big flower headband! She was so happy to sit in the flower pot and I was thrilled with the result!

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

The I Heart Faces photo challege this week is "Best Face Photo" and let me tell you, it was not easy to choose. I was kinda busy with pictures this past December and had a lot to choose from. Now, you're probably thinking....why in the world did you pick this beast? I heard plenty of times the "she's so ugly she's cute" expression. But there's a lot more to her than that and I feel like taking pictures of animals is like when you take pictures of babies and kids....their eyes don't lie. Their expressions are so genuine and so full of life. It was taken the first week of December in my daughter's bedroom. We were playing around and I thought I'd take a few pictures of Penelope. Looking at her here, you would never guess how wild she is. She is a handful! She's three years old but acts like a puppy. No matter how upset she can make me, I wouldn't trade her for anything. Pugs have their way of doing that...........
